Dance Retreats

Relax, Rewind
and Rediscover

Our Retreat is designed to bring together student teachers and experienced teachers in a relaxed, supportive setting. The aim is to create a friendly and sociable environment where ideas, knowledge, and inspiration can be shared openly within the world of ballet. Alongside high-quality practical learning and informative sessions, our retreat encourages genuine connection, giving teachers the opportunity to build a professional network of colleagues they can continue to contact, collaborate with, and grow alongside long after the experience.

Set within an inspiring and restorative atmosphere, our retreat balances focused professional development with time to unwind, reflect, and enjoy shared experiences. It is a space where the discipline and tradition of ballet can be explored deeply, while still allowing room for conversation, relaxation, and community.

What Our Retreat Offers

A welcoming retreat for student teachers and teachers across all ballet genres, created as a space to step away from routine and reconnect with both the practice of ballet and the wider community within it. The focus is on balance: time dedicated to high-quality professional development alongside space to relax, reflect, and enjoy meaningful social connection in an inspiring and restorative environment.

Throughout the retreat, participants take part in masterclasses led by professional ballet teachers and dancers, offering insight into technique, artistry, and teaching practice across a range of classical ballet approaches. These sessions are designed to challenge and inspire, while remaining supportive, inclusive, and accessible to a wide range of experience levels.

Equally important is the social and restorative aspect of the experience. Shared dinners bring everyone together in an informal setting, encouraging conversation, connection, and the development of lasting professional relationships. There is also time set aside for a guided walk, offering a chance to explore the surroundings while stepping away from the studio environment.

Afternoon tea provides a calm and elegant moment to pause and unwind, adding to the sense of occasion and shared experience. A particular highlight is access to a historical library of books passed down through generations, offering a rare opportunity to engage with the heritage and evolution of ballet through original texts and archival material.

The retreat is designed as a considered blend of learning, rest, and inspiration within the world of ballet, supporting teachers and student teachers in deepening their understanding of the art form while also nurturing the personal and professional connections that sustain their work long after the experience ends.
